I also have Loudness Equalization and Headphone Virtualization enabled but that isn't causing the problem since the hissing sound is still there after disabling it. Gain dB Bug sticks around even after i reset everything to default.
I also tried disabling enhancements which just makes the sound mumbling and muffled again. I did reinstall driver but the bug sticks around persistently. Then it sounds good, or so was the case for years until the Gain dB bug was somehow triggered and is now is causing hissing sounds for over 4 or 5 months now.
I think the bug got triggered sometime after i saved Custom Equalizer Preset and then later deleted it, not sure though.Īnother bug that was in MSI Realtek Audio Driver from the beginning, even in older driver, is that audio is all muffled like whenever someone is speaking it sounds like they are mumbling rather than speaking, until i set Equalizer Preset to Treble. Likely because the bug in audio driver which automatically boosted Gain dB to Max and now it is stuck there as there is no option in MSI Realtek HD Audio Manager to adjust Headphone Gain Setting like in Gigabyte Realtek HD Audio Manager ( in this pdf. It used to be that i had to set Volume to 100%, now i have to reduce Volume to 60%. I am getting hissing sounds from Sony Headphones as well as Stereo Speakers from any audio jack i plugged in.
